Ok so a few points.

Firstly, THANK YOU! to those of you who have offered suggestions to help with the laptop issue. I had over 2 gigs of temporary files. Still working through solutions.

Second, I know I don't seem very hiatusy but I have, ok so I've posted here a fair bit, but not as often as I've wanted to and I've not done anything fandomy like I want to. I've also only commented on short posts, and there are a few of you who write wonderfully long posts so

shadowserenity and

soldiersjoy, you've been bookmarked and I'll be commenting in May/when this dissertation/project is done so I can properly look at your posts.

Third, there's a meme thing that's all about asking questions, so ask any question, ask plenty [things like, what's your favourite toy, what do you think about the death penalty, favourite fic, favourite icon makers] anything like that. Go for it, ask multiple times. I'm screening comments, so people have no idea what anyone else has asked. I shall answer them in May. If you ask lots you may even get a post to yourself.

Fifth, I am a bad person and am going to hell. A flyer was dropped through our door, with the words 'Come and celebrate the most amazing man in the world' Who did I think they meant? David Hewlett, who did they actually mean? Jesus. Oops.

MY MOTHER IS THE MOST AWESOMEST PERSON EVER! SOD JESUS AND HEWLETT! A letter came this morning, from Singapore and she's written to me on hotel paper and posted me a LETTER. (And by letter I mean 10 double sided pages of A5) I LOVE HER. Complete with her little stick figure drawings, examples of which can be seen here.
